Indian Gorkha Army

Since the independence of India in 1947, as per the terms of the Britain–India–Nepal Tripartite Agreement, six Gorkha regiments, formerly part of the British Indian Army, became part of the Indian Army and have served ever since. The troops are mainly from ethnic Nepali Gurkhas of Nepal and ethnic Nepalese origin people known as Indian Gorkha. The selection is open once or twice in a year

Only Nepalese youth from every part of Nepal and from every cast except Chaudhary cast can apply!

Document check, Physical and Education examination.

Medical Test

Details Medical Test of successful candidates from RS.

Final Test

After the Medical Test. Those passed candidates name will be put on merit list. And Finally according to the vacancy result published at GRD Kunarghat.

Documents and Requirements

  1. • Original Citizenship of the applicant and their parents.
  1. • S.E.E Examination Mark Sheet.
  1. • Age : Minimum 17 years 6 month and maximum 21 years
  2. • Height : Minimum 157cm
  3. • Weight : Minimum 48 Kgs
  4. • Chest: 32 cm (expand upto 2cm)
  5. • Eyes: Glasses/ Contact Lenses/ Laser Surgery Not accepted
